Cultivating Minds Under the Palm:

Building Africa’s neuroscience community.

Our Mission

PalmX Institute is an African-led platform focused on building and connecting the neuroscience community across the continent and the diaspora. We aim to create a credible space for knowledge exchange, grounded in African contexts and connected to global research.

Our core activity is a monthly research seminar series where neuroscientists present their work, share ideas, and engage in open discussion. Through these sessions and shared resources, PalmX supports learning, visibility, and collaboration within Africa’s growing neuroscience ecosystem.

Vision - The 3X of PalmX Institute

PalmX Institute is guided by three core principles that shape how we build community, share knowledge, and advance neuroscience across Africa.

eXcellence

We uphold high scientific and professional standards in our talks, discussions, and collaborations. PalmX prioritises rigor, credibility, and thoughtful engagement within the neuroscience community.

eXchange

Knowledge exchange is central to our mission. We create spaces where neuroscientists can openly share research, ideas, and resources, fostering connection across institutions, countries, and the diaspora.

eXploration

We support curiosity-driven exploration in neuroscience, while remaining open to closely related fields as the community grows. PalmX encourages inquiry that is grounded in real problems and future-facing research.
